LSC has demonstrated that Hydroxysomes™ can penetrate into Stratum corneum [Sc] without disruption of the integrity of the skin.

The Hydroxysomes™ delivery technology offers many advantages over currently available polymer- and liposome-based delivery systems. It is applicable to many classes of hydrophilic and lipophilic bioactive molecules; is tunable, non-toxic and biodegradable.  Moreover, Hydroxysomes™ can be loaded with bioactives at high capacity.  The technology can be adapted for each new bioactive without extensive formulation development.
